Movies of May 2017

It’s already June, which means I’ll be giving my humble opinion about the movies that I saw the past month. It has been a month that was making my geeky heart beat a little faster. Let’s get this thing started!

My rating: ❤❤❤ Good
I can’t give this movie a better raiting then ‘good’. It had decent acting, the story was pretty good, but it was quite predictable. It had a few very emotional scenes, but somethings just didn’t strike me as logical. Also, I didn’t quite agree with the ending.

My Rating: ❤❤❤❤❤ A personal favorite
Word can not describe how much I loved this freaking movie. I laughed, I cried, I squeeled because baby groot is freaking adorable. The feels were real and my heart couldn’t handle this movie. It was so amazing, I loved the overall feeling. It perfectly captured the same feeling as the first movie! If you loved the first movie, then go watch this one as well! Baby Groot is totally worth it!

Robbed of his birthright, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy – whether he likes it or not.

My Rating: ❤❤❤❤ Very good
This King Arthur movie was actually a pretty good one. I went in thinking it would be mostly action scenes and not enough humor or feelings. But I came out quite surprised. There were just enough fighting scenes, I loved Arthur’s witty and sarcastic comments and the characters were well thought out. There were a few emotional scenes, plenty of dead.. (I actually got a bit of a game of thrones feeling while watching this movie).

A suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby pairs up with his seven-year old brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co.

My Rating: ❤❤❤ Good
It was a fun movie, but obviously for children. Still, I enjoyed myself so that’s why it’s getting a 3-heart rating from me! The storyline was a bit meh, but hey I am kinda spoiled with Steven Universe.. Anyway, the characters were cute, the jokes were funny and I just LOVED the boss baby. He was just so adorably annoying!

Captain Jack Sparrow searches for the trident of Poseidon.

❤❤❤  Good
I liked the movie, even if it’s only for the fact that Johnny Depp’s performance as Jack Sparrow was as amazing as ever! I liked the fact that they involved some details from former movies, loved the continuity. The story was good, but just as almost every sequal or how-much-is-this-already.. the first movie will always be the best! It was a good movie though!

    1. I can agree with that. The franchise is a bit milked out by this point. But Johnny’s performance was awesome like always 🙂

  1. I really, really need to get to the movies because there’s so many I want to see. The only one I saw this month was Boss Baby with my kiddo haha 🙂

    1. I did like the boss baby 🙂 It was a more ‘casual’ movie to watch, so to say ~ I hope your kiddo loved it!

  2. I’m not really interested in POTC anymore… I think they did far too many movies and I grew tired of them …. 🙁 As for King Arthur, I have mixed feelings and I dunno what to do. I might go to the cinema though 🙂

    1. They milked out the franchise, if you ask me. Johnny Depp really did save the movie, though. With his amazing acting skills.
